So I got an email a little while back saying I qualified for the Sunkissed Voxbox. I was very excited about this. Then today I received an email saying I am getting the "Something Blur" Voxbox. This is what is confusing me: I am not getting married nor engaged and this is the bridal/wedding voxbox. Not sure what this is about and I hope I still get the Sunkissed box as well.

Clingy & Crying

The past two days Spencer has been clingy & fussy. I think 50% of it is teething & 50% is just a stage.  My nips are suffering, as well. He's been a nursing monster, & I can't get his nails clipped so he just digs those little razor blades into my boob while he's nursing. I love my little guy, but wow, I was not expecting this!

It's been a little frustrating, but I just keep reminding myself that he is just trying to communicate his needs to me, and he needs constant cuddles & feeding. At least my SO is back & can help me, lol.

Free Samples, Products and Stuff

I think everyone likes getting free stuff, I know I sure do. Recently I've become addicted to signing up for free samples & trials. I've compiled a list to help you start receiving free samples if you're into that kind of thing. Remember if anything requires you to answer a bunch of questions or give out more personal info than you are comfortable with, then it probably is a scam & I suggest not filling out any information that isn't really required.

You can also contact companies by mail/phone/email & request samples & you may just get them, this is a little more time consuming but it's worth it. Just try to be as specific as possible & remember the saying "you'll catch more flies with honey than vinegar," companies are more likely to respond to positive criticism.

Spanking IS Hitting

I don't agree with physical discipline. I think it's wrong. To instill fear in your child to make them behave is just wrong. Try looking at it from their point of view, realize how much larger you are and how intimidating that has to be. I couldn't imagine hurting my child. To force them into submission. I just can't understand it.

Off to the Zoo

Well, tomorrow! We are going to spend the week with my So's mother & tomorrow we are going to the Cincinatti Zoo! Four months old may be a little young but I don't even care. We are in for a great mini vaycay this coming week, she spoils us. I'll post pictures of the trip soon!

Let's Start With the Basics

My name is Keely. I'm a 21 year old SAHM to a lovely 4 month old baby boy, Spencer. He was born on January 9th by repeat csection. He is my rainbow, my pride & joy. I never thought I could love another baby after losing my daughter to Anencephaly in 2011, but I was very wrong. It's been a long, emotional, and trying journey from hearing my daughter's diagnosis to now, but I believe it has helped me become a better mother, a better person even.

I would describe my parenting style as pretty much crunchy. I practice "attachment parenting" I suppose you'd say. I don't follow any guidelines or rules however, I just do what comes naturally or what ever feels right for my family & me. So far so good!

I babywear, sometimes cloth diaper, breastfeed (and plan to for however long it takes him to naturally wean himself), & I don't let my baby cry it out. Judging people and their parenting styles is NOT what I am here for, I don't care how you parent as long as your baby is happy, healthy & safe. Yes, I do advocate the things I believe in, so if you are offended by anything I stand for, I suggest NOT reading this blog!

I suppose that is all for my first post. I'm very new to this so it may take me awhile to catch on!
